Located 47 miles up the historic Gunflint Trail, Tuscarora has hosted anglers, cabin guests, and canoeists year-round since 1935. OUTFITTING
From the quiet east end of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the Quetico Provincial Park, Tuscarora Outfitters offers complete or partial canoe packages for all your Boundary Waters trip or Quetico trip needs. Begin your canoe trip from our private docks on Round Lake and Saganaga Lake. We are the closest canoe outfitter to Cross Bay and Larch Creek BWCA entry points and just a short distance from Seagull, Poplar, Magnetic, and Gunflint Lakes. In this clean, unspoiled setting we offer the best in ultra light equipment and delicious food. Stay in our bunkhouse the night before your trip, and hit the water bright and early the next morning after a hot breakfast. Get a jump start on your day with our tow service on Saganaga Lake. Tuscarora covers all your needs for your next canoeing adventure.

Tuscarora Lodge can help with all your Gunflint Trail lodging needs, whether you’re looking for bunkhouse accommodations for the night before your canoe trip, a peaceful Boundary Waters cabin rental for two, or a family-friendly MN vacation rental with lots of living space. On the edge of the BWCA, our lodging delivers quiet wilderness vacations in the heart of the north woods. Round Lake provides great walleye, small mouth bass, and northern pike fishing as well as wonderful swimming. Day trips off our dock put you in the heart of the BWCA from two USFS entry points directly off of Round Lake! Excellent hiking trails nearby provide endless hours of exploration. Our full housekeeping Gunflint Trail cabins provide a great home base for exploring the Gunflint Trail area or just kicking back and watching the sun set.

Our base is conveniently located 1 mile off the Gunflint Trail. Our remote location, farther into the wilderness than most people ever get, also provides our guests with relaxing facilities within Superior National Forest.
